#QRCodes: Lets Give Em’ Something To Talk About
As QR Codes gain popularity so does the mismanagement of its capabilities. There have been some very successful QR code campaigns but there has also been some that I’ve seen that really REALLY suck! Sorry to say it in such a crass way but jeeze, I have beating around the bush on this all year by saying, this works, this does not, try this, don’t do this, do it this way…blah..blah..blah.
When creating your QR Code Campaign, give them something to talk about! Singing Bonnie Raitt now. A QR Code that lands on a traditional website, download my catalog and or a link to a website that they are already on DOES NOT GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT.
QR Codes Should:
- Land on a MOBILE SITE. Period! The one exception is a MeCard or V-Card.
- Land on interactive content within your mobile website.
- Land on coupons, discounts or promotions.
- Be attached to a call to action, meaning it should prompt users to do something.
When you thing QR Code, Think Mobile. Think it, Say it, Breath it, Do it!
